For advisers who put their name on the recommendation
Franchise consultants and brokers are paid for judgement, and judgement takes time that is mostly spent on assembly: pulling apart a disclosure document, normalising a seller's earnings, structuring a brief so a client can act on it. That work is necessary and it is not what a client values you for.
There is also a positioning problem worth naming. A broker paid by the brands it places clients into has an incentive that the client can see; an adviser charging for analysis does not. Tools that will tell a client a deal is weak are more useful to that second position than to the first, because the analysis is free to reach an inconvenient answer.
What is on offer here is the assembly, not the judgement. Produce a client-ready brief in your own firm's voice, turn a long disclosure document into a comparable scorecard, and build a defensible valuation — then apply the local knowledge and professional judgement your client is actually paying you for, and check every figure before it carries your name.
A first draft, not a deliverable. Structure and reasoning come out of the tool; the risk section, the caveats and the recommendation are yours, and they are what a client will hold you to.
Source anything you keep. A brief gives you framing, not a sourced research report. Any figure that survives into a client document needs a source you have checked.
White-label means responsibility. Putting your branding on an output means taking professional responsibility for it. Review every claim before it leaves your office.
